When it comes to shopping for workout leggings, fit is very important to me. Pants need to be the right length, have just the right amount of compression, and be mid- to high-waisted because that offers me the most amount of comfort. While shopping Old Navy’s big fitness sale recently I decided to give its popular High-Waisted Elevate Side-Pocket Mesh-Trim 7/8-Length Compression Leggings ($24, originally $37) a try. The pants have four-way stretch so I knew I’d be pleased with its compression, and they’re made with 15% spandex, too.
When the pants arrived I immediately put them on and appreciated how easily they slid on (sometimes I have to really tug at the thighs to get leggings on). I wore them for a cycling class at home and loved how easy it was to move — the four-way stretch really does give you that freedom you need. I do most of my workouts in the garage right now, and the mesh paneling helped stay a bit cooler than normal. Keep reading to learn what else I loved about them.
