If you’re a frequent POPSUGAR reader, you’re probably well aware that Walmart’s fashion game is seriously underrated. From the brand’s exclusive Scoop collection to its Free Assembly line — both overseen by *the* Brandon Maxwell, FYI — there’s no shortage of high-quality, on-trend, and affordable pieces to go around. And now, the retailer’s expanding its offerings to include Love & Sports, an activewear and swim brand fusing fashion and fitness, helmed by renowned fashion designer Michelle Smith and superstar SoulCycle instructor Stacey Griffith.
The inaugural collection includes a whopping 121 women’s activewear and swimwear pieces, with prices ranging from $12 to $42. In the workout department, you can expect everything from retro-inspired running shorts and seamless leggings to sports bras and sweatshirts. As for swim, there’s a mix of one-pieces and two-pieces, plus coverups that double as stylish pieces you’ll love as everyday wear. Oh, and there’s no shortage of color — this collection is all about bold and bright hues that will make you stand out in the gym and beyond.
You can find the full collection on Walmart’s website, and soon you’ll be able to shop it in stores, as it’s starting to roll out to 1,500 stores as I type this very article. And there’s even more to come! Like the brand’s other exclusive lines, you can look forward to seasonal collections and new additions — like footwear and accessories, which the retailer says will arrive this fall. The retailer assures that the entire collection features elevated details à la more high-end brands (think: moisture-wicking fabrics, plenty of pockets, and reflective taping).
So far, the collection’s already bringing in tons of five-star reviews. Current top-sellers are the Long Bike Shorts ($20), which reviewers say “hug your curves in all the right places” and are “comfortable and stretchy.” Another favorite? The Kikki Compression Sports Bra ($16), already popular for how its “compression design provides great support, perfect for intense workouts. To get a feel for the brand (and maybe even shop it in bulk), we’ve curated a shopping list of 10 pieces we’re obsessed with; that we think will serve you well for upcoming beach days or cycling classes.
